yaoobruni and I were talking last night about websites whose businesses basically revolve around getting you to put yourself into demographic categories: I'd just come across picnicmob, for one; or he'd been pitched another: "It appeals to the user's inner demographer!" We were scoffing at the idea, but... LJ memes sort of prove the point, don't they? It's fun to tick the ticky boxes.
- Slytherin. Well, I do cheat at videogames.
- Solidly INTP, the Engineer: "relatively easy-going and amenable to most anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible." Recent events indicate that this is, um, true.
- The Akkadian language: "a blend of the incomprehensible... with the unwritable." Mxyzptlk that, baby.
