I am feeling like you, and it's actually really nice to hear that somebody else is having these thoughts. The reasons why some people are choosing to move seem perfectly valid, but they are not reasons that apply strongly to me. So the doubts aren't balanced out by the feeling of needed freedom that doubtless is a key element of excitement around DW.
I have this pessimism around an inevitable fissioning of the community, options for crossposting notwithstanding, and that is a saddening thought. I am hoping this is just FUD, though.
